Here is the assortment of candy I mailed today to my Candy Swap partner! I included:
1. Candy invented in Canada:
- Cherry Blossoms
- Clodhoppers
2. Candy that my American relatives always ask me to bring when I visit. They are all popular in Canada, but actually are from British companies:
- Coffee Crisp
- Smarties
- Aero bar
- Wine gums
3. Lots of Maple! A must since I am from Quebec and this is the start of the Maple season:
- Pure Maple Syrup
- Pure Maple Fudge
- Pure Maple Lolipop
- Mini ice cream cones filled with Maple

wine gums lmao is that what they ask for? I do love smarties tho, they are the best! And I love maple syrup… its really expensive here in the UK.
wine gums… i am stunned… i never really liked those or smarties, but i am on board with aero bars (esp aero mint!) and maple candy. My boyfriend’s parents bring gallons of maple syrup (from NY state) when they come to visit us in California. It’s expensive here, too, and thin!
okay, fine! i admit my relatives never actually ask for wine gums but i realized my package was lacking in actual "candy" and i knew wine gums weren’t available in the US so i added them in
I haven’t heard of some of those candies before.
And I’ve never seen Smarties in a package like that!
