The Decade Box is a collection of sweet memories with the candies you remember from your childhood. Each box contains more than 30 candies and over 5 pounds of pure sweet tooth enjoyment. The 50′s decade box includes: Skybars, Necco Wafers, Chuckles, Sen Sen Breath Refreshment, French Vanilla chews, Candy Cigarettes and over 20 more. Wow!!
In rare cases, substitutions may occur. The missing item will be replaced with a comparable candy from the same era.

I ordered the 50′s Gift Basket for my parents. I ordered it a couple of weeks before Christmas and the package did arrive. However, when I asked my Mom how she liked it, she told me that there were a few items missing. The packing slip had listed what all should be in there, and the following were NOT there: charms assorted squares,smoothie peanut butter cup, cherry mash, chocolate cigarettes, walnettos.
I sent an email to Hometown Favorites on 12/17/07 telling them that these items were missing and requested they satisfy my order. As of today, 1/2/08 I have not heard back from them.
Needless to say, I will NOT purchase anything further from their company…and would suggest you do the same!

Overall it is a neat box with some great candy that brought back many memories for my parents. Some of the pieces seemed a bit stale and hard and the moonpie was basically crushed, though we’ve only eaten a few pieces so far. You couldn’t find this type of candy anywhere so it is a great concept to bring all of it back again in one box. My biggest complaint was the ground shipping which was over priced in my opinion. I’m not sure how long this company has been doing it but it appears they have some things to correct in order to succeed further. I noticed too that the candy was all in a jumbled mess. I’m not sure a woman would have organized the box in that same fashion. So please try to correct these issues and I will buy from you again. Thank you.

This product was okay. The Moon-Pie was pretty bashed up and some of the taffy-like candy was VERY hard, maybe stale. I bought it as a gift for the nostalgia, and that is pretty much all it was.
Buy it for someone from the 50′s, but don’t expect really good, fresh, candy.

This a fun idea. Most of the candy is available at local stores, but it is nice to have someone else put it all together for you. The box is cute with the warning sticker on top. My parents loved it and reminisced for days. They got a kick out of how much their little grandchildren loved the candies.

A tiny bit of candy for the money. Part of the candy was hard like it had been stored for a really long time. I gave it as a gift to my parents and they were extremely disappointed.
